  WE’RE HIRING AT THE MODERN MATURITY CENTER KITCHEN HELPER (PT) Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 2:00 pm Paid vacation, sick time, and holiday pay SUMMARY  Responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and storing pots, pans, and trays. Maintains kitchen, dish room, and restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Cleans pots, pans, and trays used in the daily operation of the nutrition program * Scrapes food from dirty pots and pans and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on a conveyor to the dishwashing machine * Sweeps and mops the dish room floors * Washes the area worktables and walls * Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers * Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans * Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas * Other duties may be assigned EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
