Kitchen Helper
Rooftop Living Kitchen Restaurant | Zoku Vienna
Hospitality kitchen job in Vienna. Behind every great meal is a team that keeps everything running smoothly.
Love food, enjoy being part of a busy team, and want to learn more about how a professional kitchen works? Keep reading.
At Zoku, we’re not your typical hotel. We’re a community-driven space where people can live, work, socialize, and connect with the city around them. We believe hospitality should feel personal, human, and effortless and that starts behind the scenes just as much as it does in front of our guests. That’s where you come in!
TELL ME MORE
As a Kitchen Helper, you’ll be the backbone of our Living Kitchen.
You’ll make sure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes by keeping the kitchen (both front and back of house) spotless, organized, and in line with HACCP regulations. You’ll handle all dishwashing, deep cleaning, incoming deliveries and ensuring everything runs efficiently so our guests receive great food in a clean and welcoming environment. And most of all help with basic food preparation, mis en place as instructed by chefs so that our chefs can focus on creating food that keeps guests coming back for more.
WHAT YOU’LL ACTUALLY DO
Keep the kitchen running. Make sure all kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and workspaces are cleaned, organized, and ready for service. You’ll help maintain the high standards that keep our Living Kitchen operating smoothly.
Support the chefs. Help with food preparation, mise en place, cutting ingredients, and setting up for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and events. The better prepared the kitchen is, the better service we can deliver.
Handle deliveries, storage and waste. Receive deliveries, organize stock, rotate products correctly, and ensure everything is stored according to food safety guidelines. You’re also in charge of keeping the waste separation on point.
Maintain food safety standards. Follow deep cleaning schedules and HACCP procedures to ensure our kitchen remains safe, clean, and compliant at all times.
Be part of the team. You’ll work closely with both front and back of house teams and help create the welcoming atmosphere that makes Zoku feel like home.
Live the brand. You uphold Zoku’s Brand Service Standards in the Living Kitchen, ensuring every area, whether visible or behind the scenes, reflects our values of quality, care, and community.
YOUR SCHEDULE
You’ll work alongside our chefs and Head Chef across mornings, mids and evenings. Because hospitality never stands still, flexibility is part of the role.
Example of shift times for a full-time position:
YOU’LL FIT RIGHT IN IF YOU
A FEW MUST HAVES

WHAT WE ARE PROUD OF
Zoku combines the energy of a lifestyle brand with the warmth of a close knit team. We challenge traditional hospitality by creating spaces where people genuinely connect, whether they’re staying for one night or several months.
Next to our award-winning design and our global press fan club, we’re proud to be a certified B Corp across all our locations, meaning we care deeply about people, community, and doing business with a heart (not just as a marketing line).
WHAT THE ZOKU?!
We’re Zoku. Designed for the new generation of business travelers, we’re so much more than a long stay hotel. We’re a place you can call your second home, even on your first visit. We’ve created a hive of private Lofts and rooftop Social Spaces, so you can stay connected and well rested as you live and work throughout Europe. Throw yourself into your work and play, and effortlessly discover one of our home cities. It will be your home city next.
