JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to assist in the daily operations of our kitchen. The Kitchen Helper supports chefs and cooks by preparing ingredients, cleaning and organizing the kitchen, and ensuring all equipment and utensils are properly maintained. This role is crucial in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen setting is an asset but not required
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods

Responsibilities
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, tools, and dishes
  • Sweep and mop floors, take out trash, and ensure cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas
  • Receive and store deliveries; ensure proper stock rotation and labeling
  • Assist chefs and kitchen staff during meal preparation and service
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines and food handling procedures
  • Help with plating and assembling dishes as directed
  • Refill supplies and ingredients as needed
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by supervisor
