Are you passionate about culinary excellence and ready to take your skills to the next level? IL Gelato Hawaii—home of internationally acclaimed, handcrafted gelato—is seeking a Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager Assistant to join our production and kitchen leadership team in Honolulu.
This is a hands-on, full-time opportunity in our gelato factory, where you’ll work alongside a team of passionate food professionals and support the day-to-day operations of our kitchen. If you’re a detail-oriented team player with strong leadership potential and a love for creating world-class gelato, we’d love to meet you!

Responsibilities
  • Produce and craft premium gelato using both traditional and modern techniques
  • Accurately follow recipes and maintain consistency across all batches
  • Operate, clean, and maintain gelato-making machinery and kitchen equipment
  • Assist with kitchen leadership tasks: inventory, ordering, PAR lists, and team supervision
  • Ensure quality control and food safety compliance at all times
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment
  • Collaborate with the Kitchen Manager and ownership to continuously improve recipes and processes
  • Support training and onboarding of new production staff
