We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team, maintain the highest standards of food quality and safety, and contribute to the continued growth of our menu and reputation.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service at all times.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team to deliver consistently high-quality dishes.
- Organise staff rotas and ensure adequate staffing levels for service and prep.
- Maintain the highest culinary standards, presentation, and portion control.
- Work closely with the owners/chefs to develop and implement seasonal menus.
- Ensure all dishes align with Bottle and Thyme’s brand, vision, and sustainability ethos.
- Uphold and enforce food safety, hygiene, and allergen control procedures in line with UK regulations.
- Oversee regular cleaning schedules and equipment maintenance.
- Manage stock levels, carry out weekly stock takes, and order supplies within budget.
- Monitor food costs, minimise waste, and ensure efficient portion control.
- Build and maintain relationships with local suppliers.
- Train new and existing staff on recipes, techniques, and safety procedures.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative kitchen environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs.

Experience Required
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or Senior Sous Chef in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of UK food hygiene laws and Level 3 Food Safety qualification (Level 4 desirable).
- Experience with stock control, ordering, and supplier management.
- Passion for fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients.
