JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Kitchen Manager to oversee our culinary operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, with expertise in food preparation, inventory control, and team management. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality while ensuring exceptional customer service.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in kitchen management or a similar role within the food industry.
  • Strong background in cooking, food handling, and food production techniques.
  • Experience in quick service & fast food restaurants as well as fine dining establishments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, shift management, and restaurant management practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team.
  • Previous experience in hospitality management or culinary experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of catering operations, banquet experience, and barista/coffee experience is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and development to enhance their skills.
  • Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement cost control measures while maintaining quality standards.
  • Conduct interviews and assist in hiring new kitchen staff.
  • Develop menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
  • Handle cash management and POS operations effectively, including Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
