JOB SUMMARY

The Restaurant Kitchen Manager/Chef will be responsible in overseeing all kitchen operations including food preparation and presentation in collaboration with others in a shared kitchen; meeting or exceeding food quality, sales, cost of goods and labour targets. This role will be leading and developing their restaurant team to excell at delivering an exceptional culinary experience to our guests. This position is fast-paced, requires flexibility to adapt to change and work closely with others.
Working closely with the General Manager and ownership, the Restaurant Kitchen Manager/Chef will also lead, develop and cost seasonal menu changes to create new offerings that reflect the brand image.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure all standards are met
  • Ensure the efficient operation of food production, constantly analyze the quality of production and preparation in accordance to company specifications
  • Manage all cost controls, supplier relationships and service KPIs
  • Train, mentor and develop the skills of all culinary staff
  • Assure on-going training and development of the team
  • Have a positive mindset and be able to contribute to a safe and fun team environment that fosters growth and service excellence
  • Ability to lead by example
  • Checks portioning, garnishing, temperature, taste and appearance of food to ensure quality and proper specifications
  • Deliver a menu that compliments our brand and beverage program
  • Understand and abide by all Health & Safety standards
