Qualifications (non-negotiable): * Able to pass DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by Community Care Licensing * Able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening * High school diploma or GED required * Experience in an assisted living environment preferred * Flexible scheduling. Position may include weekends and holidays Job Description: * Prepare and serve food to residents in our community * Ensure all special dietary needs are met and preparing texture modified food as directed * Ensure compliance with all record keeping, food safety and risk management requirements * Train new kitchen aide and other staff on proper cooking routines and kitchen procedures * Follow facility menu and maintain portion control as directed by dietitian * Identify and develop new initiatives and areas of improvements to better serve our residents * Order, receive, verify and sign for groceries and deliveries * Maintain and appropriately handle facility food budgets * Responsible for cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and dining room utensils, informing Administrator of any challenges or safety hazards * Attend all monthly in-services and facility staff meetings obtaining proper documentation of each meeting or training * Be fully aware of individual resident likes, dislikes and health restrictions * Supervise food production for quality of products and service * Prepare and enforce daily, weekly and monthly kitchen cleaning schedules to maintain compliance with safety and health restrictions We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full time employees including medical, dental, vision, and voluntary supplemental insurance through AFLAC.  TruCare Community offers  ✦ Competitive wages ✦ Paid training  ✦ Growth opportunities ✦ Bonus & incentive programs Walk-in applications accepted daily at Human Resources Office from 8:30am to 5pm at 8516 Artesia Blvd., Bellflower CA and at New Horizon Senior Living at 8541 Cerritos Ave., Stanton, CA.
