Are you a high-performing chef who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment?
Crave-It Nutrition is looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager / Head Chef to lead our high-volume school meal program in Irving. You’ll oversee the preparation, cooking, packaging, and service of 500–600 meals daily, with a portion catered to satellite schools and the remainder served onsite.
We need a strong leader who can manage a team, meet strict production deadlines, maintain food safety standards, and be a key player in growing our DFW region. If you can’t reliably work Monday–Friday or aren’t ready to bring energy and accountability, this isn’t the job for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Prepare and cook 500–600 simple, nutritious meals daily following a structured 4-item menu.
  • Oversee onsite meal service and coordinate delivery of 350–450 meals to other schools.
  • Lead and manage a team of 5–6 staff, ensuring all roles are performing efficiently.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Order and manage inventory – running out of ingredients is not an option.
  • Operate a point-of-sale system (iPad/laptop-based) to check out students and generate reports.
  • Run daily production reports and track meal performance and waste.
  • Set the standard for performance, attitude, and accountability in our DFW team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven culinary experience in high-volume food service – school, catering, or institutional preferred.
  • Leadership experience – ability to motivate, hold staff accountable, and create a positive work culture.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures.
  • Able to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and solve problems independently.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and committed – we expect no more than 2 absences per semester.
  • Tech-savvy enough to manage POS systems and reporting software on tablets/laptops.
  • Professional and friendly – you’re feeding kids, so positivity matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar high-volume culinary role.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Able to lift 30–50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and move quickly in a kitchen setting.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to arrive on time, every time.
