Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Manager to oversee back-of-house operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and profitability. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in kitchen management, and the ability to understand food cost control, execute staff training, and scheduling while maintaining a high standard of food quality and safety.
Responsibilities:

Operations & Management:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and high-quality food preparation.
  • Manage kitchen staff, reporting all necessary staff information to the Food and Becerage Manager.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen that adheres to health and safety regulations.

Inventory & Ordering:

  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular counts, and minimize waste.
  • Place orders with vendors and suppliers, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Track and control food costs, making adjustments as needed to stay within budget.

Menu & Food Quality:

  • Assist in menu development, including pricing and cost analysis.
  • Ensure consistency in food preparation, portioning, and presentation.

Training & Development:

  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety, and efficiency.
  • Ensure all team members understand and follow proper kitchen procedures.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or similar role. • Strong understanding of inventory management, ordering, and food cost control. • Experience in staff training, scheduling, and performance management. • Ability to create and execute menus while maintaining food quality and consistency. • Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations. • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. • ServSafe or similar food safety certification is preferred.
    The Raccoon Creek Golf Course is always in great condition. The greens are fast and true. With conditions like these, it is time to get over to the golf course and enjoy some golf. Our golf carts are equipped with GPS that provides score updates of sporting events and “live scoring” for outings and tournaments. We have great family and weekend nine hole specials during peak season. Stop in at the Grove Restaurant before and after your round. The food is good and the drinks are cold.
