Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction
- Develop and implement menu items and specials
- Monitor food costs and maintain budgetary guidelines
- Handle customer complaints or concerns regarding food quality or service
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Experience:
- Previous experience in hospitality management or restaurant management preferred
- Strong knowledge of shift management and ability to handle high-pressure situations
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques and culinary skills
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
- Experience with cash handling procedures and POS systems
- Ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team of kitchen staff
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to manage a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to make quick decisions
