OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Manager to oversee our culinary operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food service, ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing kitchen staff, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering exceptional customer service.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
  • Supervising experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on enhancing guest satisfaction.
  • Familiarity with POS systems; experience with Micros POS is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or hotel settings is a plus.
  • Barista experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and cooking.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in food handling, cooking techniques, and safety protocols.
  • Oversee the preparation of menu items, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish.
  • Implement and enforce food safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to enhance customer service and dining experience.
  • Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new kitchen staff.
  • Create schedules for kitchen staff to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
  • Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth.
  • Order all food item and place orders as needed with the various suppliers
  • Maintain strong relationships with the various food suppliers and source better pricing when needed
