Job Description Ballantynes is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join the team, working primarily in the Tearooms and Kin Kitchens. The Tearooms Kitchen produces food for our iconic Tearooms, The Ballantyne Home Kitchen Range and Retail Pantry. This kitchen produces high volume and quality products in a varied and fast paced environment. Kin, our sixty seat Bistro, offers a modern seasonal menu throughout the day and is the venue for regular in-house events such as The Breakfast Club, Books and Bubbles, fashion and products launches throughout the year. Duties and responsibilities will include the following: Dishwashing – Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either by hand or using industrial dishwashers Kitchen Cleanliness – Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas. Empty rubbish bins and ensure proper disposal of waste materials Inventory Management – Assist in receiving, storing, and organising kitchen supplies and ingredients Compliance with Health and safety – maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen ensuring equipment is in good working order Successful candidate Experience as a Kitchen Hand or Kitchen Porter desirable Have good Health & Safety knowledge Flexible with a can-do attitude, customer focused Fun and enthusiastic Have excellent organization skills Demonstrate great attention to detail Be a team player, and enjoy succeeding as a team Possess great customer service skills Have a flexible approach to work Additional Information This is a permanent opportunity working 15 hours per week, daytime shifts including a weekend day.
