Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We sat down with the Hospitality Manager & Head Chef, (Who you will report to), and they told us the following about the role: This unique opportunity in a permanent, full-time kitchen position, based in Auckland at BNZ Place, 80 Queen St. This is a Monday to Friday role, and we do require some flexibility to work evening shifts for events. You will play a key role in being part of a welcoming & nourishing workplace environment, with an opportunity to grow & learn. We are a well-established Catering team looking to add an enthusiastic & reliable Kitchen Porter with good communication skills and common sense to join our team. What are some of the day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? Washing dishes, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils, and using industrial dishwashers. Cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces such as walls, ovens, grills, and food preparation areas to meet hygiene standards. Emptying, cleaning, and managing waste bins and recycling. Assisting with basic food prep (e.g., washing, peeling and cutting ingredients) and organizing storerooms/fridges. Ensuring kitchen floors are clean, dry, and safe, and complying with COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) systems. Unloading and storing deliveries.
