The team are looking for a kitchen porter/assistant to join our expanding kitchen brigade!

Responsibilities
  • Washes pots, pans, and trays.
  • Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
  • Organizes crockery shelves and ensures each kitchen has the relevant crockery for its service
  • Ensures the back corridor is swept and mopped each shift
  • Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
  • Removes rubbish and places it in designated containers.
  • Steam cleans or hoses out rubbish bins
  • Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel, and hand cloth.
  • Carries pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator.
  • Stores foods in designated areas.
  • Distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment
  • Takes special care in maintaining all storage procedures for china, silver, crystal, cups, glasses, utensils, pots, pans trays for kitchen, banquets and dining rooms, include lounge and bar.
  • Be familiar with and understand safety and hygiene policies, regulations and laws related to but not limited to COSHH, HACCP.
  • Organizes and checks deliveries as required ensuring all stock is rotated.
  • Ensures regular checks and cleaning of the bin area
