JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking individual to join our kitchen team, combining the roles of Kitchen Porter and Kitchen Deep Cleaner. You will be responsible for keeping the kitchen spotless on a daily basis, as well as carrying out scheduled deep cleaning tasks to maintain the highest standards of hygiene. Your work will directly support our chefs, ensuring they have a safe, clean, and well-organised environment to deliver exceptional food.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in thorough cleaning, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to be part of the hospitality industry.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter, cleaner, or in a similar hospitality role is preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of food hygiene practices and safe cleaning techniques is an advantage.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail, especially when deep cleaning.
• Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Carry out daily cleaning tasks, including washing dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Perform regular deep cleaning duties (e.g., ovens, extraction systems, storage areas, walls, floors) to maintain exceptional hygiene standards.
• Assist with basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables.
• Store cleaned equipment and utensils in the correct locations.
• Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and kitchen consumables, reporting shortages promptly.
• Follow all food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
• Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations, especially during busy service periods.
