JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable individual who does not shy away from hard work to join our team. As an integral part of the team, you will be responsible for supporting our chefs by maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organisation, as well as assisting with basic food preparation tasks, ensuring smooth operations during busy services. The ideal candidate will be hard-working, efficient, and able to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Dishwashing baskets, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment both by hand and using our dishwasher
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met at all times
  • Top up hand towel and blue roll dispensers as soon as they run out
  • Top up hand soap, cleaning chemicals, and chemical dispensers as soon as they run out
  • Use the appropriate equipment, materials, and chemicals to clean the kitchen and surrounding areas to a high standard
  • Maintain storage areas, ensuring all stock, equipment and units are clean, tidy and organised ready for use
  • Regularly empty waste bins, disposing of waste and recycling correctly
  • Maintain the upkeep of the bin yard, ensuring the area is free from pests
  • Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, portioning, and bottling, following recipes and instructions carefully
  • Support your team during service by fetching ingredients from storage areas or fridges, assisting with plating and garnishing if necessary
  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as equipment cleaning, changing filters, changing flyboards, to ensure all equipment is in good working condition
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times
  • Have a good working knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices to ensure compliance with standards
  • Communicate effectively any issues, concerns or maintenance needs to the kitchen management team
  • Assist in opening and closing the kitchen to high standards, ensuring cleanliness and presentation are upheld
