We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping things clean, organised, and running smoothly behind the scenes. You will work a variety of morning and evening shifts, supporting the kitchen team to deliver high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Spoken English is essential for understanding instructions and communicating with the team
  • Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial, but not required - full training will be provided
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts (mornings, evenings, weekends)

Responsibilities
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene at all times
  • Regularly sweep, mop, and clean all kitchen and back-of-house areas during and after service
  • Wash pots, pans, kitchen equipment, and utensils efficiently throughout your shift
  • Use good time management to stay on top of cleaning tasks and respond quickly to new ones
  • Unpack and store deliveries promptly, following First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures
  • Monitor stock rotation and report any shortages or issues to senior kitchen staff
  • Dispose of kitchen waste properly and safely
  • Clean kitchen appliances, surfaces, fridges, freezers, and storage areas as scheduled
  • Work well independently and as part of a team, including supporting another kitchen porter on shift
  • Proactively look around and ask: “What needs to be done? How can I help?”
