The Kitchen Porter is the heartbeat of any kitchen.
The role of a Kitchen Porter is essential to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen by assisting with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene standards. If you have a passion for food and hospitality, enjoy working in a dynamic environment, and have the necessary skills, we would love to hear from you.
This role has set hours each week, working Wednesday - Sunday. Two days off in a row, and Sunsay evening off too.
This role is perfect for someone looking to start their career in the kitchen, or someone looking for a new challenge.
Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the kitchen staff
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware
- Sweep and mop floors to maintain cleanliness
- Dispose of trash and recyclables properly
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Follow all health and safety regulations
Skills
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends as required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £27,000.00 per year
