JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a restaurant environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and hospitality, and who enjoy working in a fast-paced setting.

EXPERIENCE

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
• A basic understanding of food preparation techniques is beneficial.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure are essential.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

• Assist chefs and kitchen staff with food preparation tasks, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained.
• Wash, dry, and store kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and dishes to ensure a clean working environment.
• Help maintain stock levels by assisting in receiving deliveries and storing supplies appropriately.
• Keep the kitchen area tidy and organised, including sweeping and mopping floors as necessary.
• Support the culinary team during busy service periods by helping with basic cooking tasks when required.
• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
