Support the Transport Manager/Operations Manager with induction and training of stores and delivery staff. Work collaboratively with Somerset Larder colleagues to maintain a professional work environment. Operations: Liaise with Chef Managers, Transport Manager and Unit Managers to coordinate daily and weekly stores/delivery requirements. Manage stock levels across units based on usage patterns and arrange internal goods movements using Somerset Larder vehicles. Collate goods orders with suppliers in line with agreed processes and assist with electronic receipting using Procure Wizard. Ensure all stock operations meet agreed standards and support monthly stock taking. Maintain cleanliness of equipment, crockery and cutlery, and oversee cleaning rotas and hygiene procedures in accordance with RS/COSHH policies. Health, Safety, Environmental and Service: Receipt and check food goods deliveries to ensure compliance with FSMS procedures, tracking, quality and hygiene requirements. Ensure correct storage of goods with appropriate stock rotation and Health and Safety standards. Support daily deliveries to outlets within agreed timetables and quality standards. Manage waste removal in accordance with site waste management plan and use equipment safely following agreed procedures. Qualifications Skills/Knowledge/Experience Required: Good knowledge and understanding of food storage and delivery procedures on a similar scope and scale, including 'stock rotation' and stock management. Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate Previous experience in a catering/kitchen porter/stores role Good understanding of Health and Safety Issues through appropriate training and practice including compliances with a zero-harm culture. Good understanding of the skills and approaches for supervising colleagues and achieving the best from team members. Able to guide, instruct and train team members in a range of stores, goods in and Health and Safet cleaning and good practice.
