Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Assists the Head Chef and kitchen team by maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and order in kitchen and back of house areas. Ensure a ‘positive’, ‘can do’ attitude.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Wash crockery and utensils by hand and using the dishwasher.
  • Daily clean of kitchen areas.
  • Deep clean of kitchen equipment.
  • Keep stores areas neat and tidy.
  • Assist with basic preparation of food where necessary under guidance of your Line Manager ensuring all Food hygiene and H&S procedures are adhered to.
  • Keep refrigeration and freezers organized.
  • Report failing equipment to Supervisor.
  • Report Health and Safety hazards to Supervisor or Catering Manager.
  • Communicate effectively with staff.
  • Contribute to stock taking as required.
  • Provide porter support with deliveries.
  • Provide porter support where necessary.
  • Accept training to enable safe completion of duties.
  • ·Carry out other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.
