THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging self-starters who is passionate about delivering strong customer service and support in a team environment.

In addition, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience operating commercial electric equipment / dish machine
  • Prior experience of specific cleaning methods as they apply to different metals and surfaces
  • Excellent communication skills and great attention to detail
  • Positive and can-do attitude
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently
  • Strong awareness of Hygiene & Food Safety Standards
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Willingness to follow instruction

Responsibilities

As the Kitchen Steward, your role will support the Head Chef and working within the Scape Eats Team to deliver high quality service and food to our student residents.
Working alongside a best practice team, the successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools throughout the Eatery as well as for the overall l cleanliness of kitchen operation to ensure that it is well maintained and organised at all times.
In addition you will play a key supporting role in carrying out general cleaning, washing and storage of crockery and cutlery, maintaining organisation and operation of commercial dish machine and assisting kitchen operations where necessary with the basic food preparation.
