Swissôtel Sydney, part of Accor’s Premium brands, have an opportunity for a Kitchen Steward to join our Kitchen Team. We are open to candidates who are interested in Full Time, Part Time and Casual. Job Description Main Duties: Actions cleaning duties within the kitchen and food preparation areas Operates dishwashing machine as per instruction manual General pantry duties and maintain cleanliness of pantry, fridges and freezers Maintain cleanliness and rotation of stock in pantry, fridge and freezers Assist with the receiving and/or storing of stock Ensure each outlet is supplied with sanitised clean and dry operational equipment. Ensure correct handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturers instructions. Qualifications About You The ability to demonstrate and deliver the role's expectation Dependable and reliable team member Have good understanding on the use of chemicals and equipment in kitchen and Food & Beverage operations Have the ability to lift items between 5kg to 8kg, using correct tools and resources in the kitchen Have valid working right in Australia For candidates who wish to apply for the full time role, it's the requirement that applicants have full availability to work on rotating roster which include weekdays, weekend and public holidays, 5-day work week with 2 RDOs. Additional Information Kitchen Steward assists the kitchen brigade in ensuring that all kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
