Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Kitchen Steward, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen and dining operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure all items used in the venues and kitchens are cleaned, polished, and returned to their proper locations, supporting the seamless flow of service.
Working under the guidance of the Chief Steward and Executive Chef, you’ll uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation across all kitchen sections. By performing your duties courteously, safely, and efficiently, you’ll help deliver a high level of service that aligns with the hotel’s policies and standards.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining a pristine and organized workspace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Efficiently manage the dishwashing process, ensuring all equipment, utensils, and stipulated areas are cleaned to the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Ensure timely and thorough cleaning of operating supplies, refuse disposal, and back-of-house areas, meeting stringent cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Guarantee 100% compliance with all local legislation, health, and safety standards, and company policies to uphold operational excellence.
  • Attend all relevant meetings, actively contribute to discussions, and ensure timely follow-up on action items. Share key updates and communication points with the team to ensure alignment and smooth operations.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized back-of-house environment, ensuring all supplies are well-maintained and ready for use. Proactively identify and address any maintenance or operational issues.
