ABOUT THE ROLE

Phoenix Hospitality Group in Burleigh Heads, Queensland is seeking an experienced Kitchen Steward Supervisor to join their dynamic team. This Full-time or Part-Time role will see you working in a vibrant, brand new, 5* hotel, supporting the culinary team and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Supervise the kitchen stewards and oversee the day to day operations of the stewarding department
  • Rostering, delegation of duties and administrative tasks as and when required
  • Train team members, ensuring they maintain a professional manner and are up to date with hotel events and the requirements of the kitchen
  • Manage and maintain a clean and tidy working environment for all hotel outlet kitchens, ensuring all kitchen stewards are doing the same
  • Work effectively within the stewarding team to ensure food hygiene and Workplace Health and Safety requirements are met
  • Ensure correct maintenance of all operating equipment and dishwashing machinery
  • Maintain, clean and tidy kitchen storerooms at all times
  • Work safely with chemicals to assist with the cleaning process
