POSITION SUMMARY:

The Kitchen Supervisor oversees the general duties of the kitchen staff to ensure the highest quality of customer service is achieved for all of our guests. This position will ensure that menu items are prepared in proper form and helps to ensure that the kitchen performs in a safe and professional manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

*High School Diploma or equivalent
*Food Safe Certification or equivalent
*Minimum 2 years in a supervisory role in a commercial kitchen

REQUIREMENTS AND ABILITIES:

· Legally authorized to work in Canada
· Minimum 1 year previous experience required
· Completion of high school preferred
· Fluent in English (written and oral) required
· Possess physical stamina and the ability to multi-task
· Ability to work a variety of shifts, including early morning openings, closings, weekends and holidays as scheduled
· Security clearance required upon offer of employment
· Possess sensational customer service philosophy
· Highly organized, results oriented and ability to work in a multi-functional team environment

Responsibilities

· Receive, store and prepare all food products according to Neighbourhood Inn’s specifications and practices.
· Ensure all products received meet specifications, that the invoicing is correct in respect to quantity, quality and price and that the products are properly labeled and stored.
· Maintain control over prescribed food, labour cost and other kitchen related operating expenses.
· Ensure that all foods are prepared and properly served according to standards.
· Oversee the assembly, cooking, plating and garnishing of all food products according to specifications.
· Product control over products leaving the kitchen to ensure that each has been properly accounted for.
· Oversee staffing, on-going training, supervision and development of the kitchen staff.
