You are responsible for leading the back-of-house operations while supporting the General Manager (GM). This is not a passive role, it requires initiative, professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to excellence. You may not always be the face speaking to every guest, but your leadership directly impacts the team, the customer experience, and the success of every shift. The restaurant does not run without strong, reliable kitchen leadership. Store Leadership & Operational Oversight As a Kitchen Supervisor, you are responsible for maintaining operational excellence during your shifts. Shift Leadership Direct shift flow and ensure proper station positioning Monitor ticket times, food quality, and order accuracy Maintain a clean, organized, and “business ready” restaurant at all times Ensure customers are acknowledged and served promptly Professional Standards Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance Provide at least two weeks’ notice for time-off requests Model positive attitude and professionalism Address performance issues and communicate concerns to the GM Customer Experience Responsibility You are accountable for protecting the guest experience by: Preventing errors (missing orders, incorrect builds, low prep) Responding professionally to customer concerns Taking ownership of mistakes and resolving them promptly Ensuring every guest receives a quality, consistent experience Cleanliness & Food Safety Maintain health department readiness at all times Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards Follow FIFO procedures and proper dating/storage guidelines Taste prepared food to verify quality Complete opening, closing, and deep cleaning checklists Maintain all food contact surfaces and equipment sanitation Inventory & Prep Management Maintain awareness of inventory levels at all times Prevent product shortages through proactive ordering Ensure food is received and stored properly Adjust prep levels based on trends, catering needs, and seasonality Ensure all recipes and cooking procedures are followed precisely Labor & Efficiency Management Monitor labor percentages and adjust staffing when appropriate Send crew home early when business permits Adjust opener start times based on prep levels and business needs Physical & Work Environment Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to maintain energy and focus in fast-paced conditions Who Thrives in This Role Natural leaders who take ownership Professionals who operate with maturity and accountability Team builders who develop others Those who value structure, consistency, and standards Individuals who are proactive, not reactive Final Note The duties of this role may include responsibilities not specifically listed in this posting.
