Description Position Summary: The Kitchen Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the kitchen to ensure high-quality, timely, and nutritious meals are provided in accordance with health and safety regulations. This role supports the mission of the organization by fostering a clean, efficient, and collaborative culinary environment that meets client dietary needs. The Kitchen Supervisor leads kitchen staff, manages inventory, and ensures a smooth workflow. Essential Duties: Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring meal quality, cleanliness, and timely service Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure meals align with dietary and therapeutic needs Supervise and support kitchen staff; assist with scheduling, training, and daily direction Assist in menu planning and food preparation, ensuring flexibility for special dietary requests Maintain appropriate food inventory levels and place orders with approved vendors Monitor food safety and sanitation practices in line with regulatory standards (e.g., ServSafe, OSHA) Ensure kitchen logs, temperature checks, and safety protocols are consistently followed Participate in food prep and service during peak times or staff shortages Suggest and implement improvements to recipes or meal processes to enhance client satisfaction Maintain a safe and positive work environment, identifying and addressing issues proactively Perform other duties as needed to support kitchen and facility operations Requirements Minimum Qualifications: At least 1 year of culinary or food service experience; prior supervisory experience preferred Hands-on experience with commercial kitchen equipment and basic inventory management Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation procedures ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire Culinary training or certification preferred Key Competencies: Leadership and team coordination Time management and adaptability Clear communication skills Strong problem-solving and judgment Respect for diverse dietary and therapeutic needs Benefits Include: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Employee Assistance Program 401k Match Paid-Time Off Sick Time Holiday Pay
