JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food service, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role requires hands-on experience in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food industry or restaurant management.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Previous experience in customer service roles with a focus on hospitality is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems is essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with staff and customers alike.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish served.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to ensure smooth operations.
  • Train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures, safety protocols, and restaurant policies.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of kitchen staff and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Collaborate with management to create menus that align with customer preferences and seasonal availability.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food handling practices.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize POS systems (such as Micros POS) for order processing and cash handling as needed.
