Job Purpose We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Kitchen Supervisor to oversee back-of-house operations for the café within our luxury retail store. This role is responsible for ensuring exceptional food quality, operational excellence, and impeccable hygiene standards while supporting a refined, seamless guest experience. The Kitchen Supervisor will lead the kitchen team with professionalism, consistency, and a strong commitment to quality. What you will be doing Ensure all menu items are executed to brand and recipe standards Support menu implementation, updates, and special activations Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistency in food preparation, taste, and presentation Lead by example, maintaining calm, professional leadership in a high-expectation environment Assist with onboarding, scheduling support, and performance feedback Maintain cleaning schedules, temperature logs, and HACCP standards Assist with ordering, inventory management, and stock control Monitor waste, portioning, and cost efficiency Liaise with suppliers and report quality or delivery issues Monitoring kitchen equipment functionality, reporting maintenance issues, and coordinating repairs Daily/weekly prep planning aligned with forecasted covers and menu mix Ensuring allergen procedures are understood, followed, and clearly communicated to FOH Clear ownership for escalating food safety, quality, or staffing issues to the Café Manager Basic tracking/reporting of food cost variances and waste trends (not ownership, but reporting) Readiness for inspections and internal audits Addressing non-compliance on shift (within agreed authority) What we are looking for? Bachelor’s degree in administration, accounting or hotel management.
