Kitchen Team Leader Full Time Hourly – $18.10 -22.00 depending on qualifications and experience Must be at least 18 years and older Position Description: Team Leaders supervise, guide and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service and the highest quality products. Team Leaders provide assistance to management in hiring and training new team members, updating management on team member performance and acts as a liaison between team members and upper management. Your day-to-day: Answers team member questions, helps with team member problems, and oversees team member work for quality and guideline compliance Provides encouragement to team members, including communicating deadlines and goals Assists management with hiring process and new team member training Ensure production estimates are met and displays are full and merchandised, with appropriate signage Provides quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer inquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints Participate in monthly, quarterly and yearly department inventories Other projects, as needed Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent At least one year experience with product knowledge Safely operate a choppers, ovens, fryers and all other equipment used in the day to day operation of the kitchen department Demonstrate safe knife handling skills Great customer service skills Good computer skills and a basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, the HRIS, Great Plains (PO system), Interscale, and Item Maintenance Good organizational skills The ability to delegate tasks and communicate directions clearly The ability to multi-task What you bring to the team: Lead by example Excellent work ethic Excellent interpersonal skill Honest The ability to problem solver Firm, but fair Flexible Working Conditions: The temperature in the department can be warmer than room temperature due to the ovens, fryers and other equipment used in department production Exposure to different weather conditions may be possible when the seasonal grill is in operation (April to October) Exposure to smoke produced by grills and grease and oil from fryers may be possible The position requires frequent walking, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, and reach is required with a maximum of 50lbs.
