Riverside Country Club is Saskatoon’s only member exclusive golf club that was originally established in 1912. It is our mission to provide an exceptional golfing, dining and social experience in an all encompassing culture of excellence and creativity. Our newly renovated clubhouse can host a variety of events from large scale buffets, multi-day tournaments, weddings, plated dinners, everyday casual dining, chef’s tables, chef attended dining room stations and more. In doing so, we offer a very exciting and ever changing work environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

We are currently seeking positive and energetic individuals who work well in a team oriented dynamic environment. We are hiring for seasonal Full-time or Part-Time (August-October) Cooks for evening and morning shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Minimum 2 year Experience in a fast paced food service environment is a definite asset
  • Red Seal certification will be considered over non certified
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Highly organized with a strong focus and commitment to quality
  • Teamwork and cooperation to assist others to get the job done
  • Hardworking and reliable
  • Contribute to a positive work environment and demonstrate a positive attitude
  • Work in an efficient manner while managing multiple tasks and priorities
  • First Aid & CPR Certification is considered an asset
Responsibilities
  • Provide professional, responsive and friendly food & beverage service to members and guests
  • Provides service excellence to members and guests through consistent food quality
  • Develop a good understanding of the member dining requirements
  • Prepare and implement specials with the Sous Chef & Executive Chef
  • Ensure high sanitary standards in compliance with Saskatchewan Health Region Requirements
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure orders are complete and product waste is a minimized
  • Receive and store orders in line with company procedures
  • Assist with monthly inventory
  • Ensures the physical areas are well appointed, clean and maintained
  • Ensures compliance with all Riverside Health and Safety standards and the Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety regulations
  • Opening and closing duties include but are not limited to: Open the kitchen, prepare line for breakfast and lunch service, cook for a la carte dining, banquets, plated dinners, complete food prep, clean down and close kitchen.
