As a Kitchen Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing kitchen equipment to ensure smooth operations in our commercial kitchen facilities. Perform regular maintenance and repairs on various kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and food processors Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with kitchen appliances and systems Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems and prevent equipment breakdowns Install new kitchen equipment and ensure proper setup and calibration Implement and maintain safety protocols in the kitchen area Manage inventory of spare parts and supplies for kitchen equipment Coordinate with kitchen staff and management to minimize disruptions during maintenance and repair work Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status Stay updated on the latest kitchen equipment technologies and maintenance techniques Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime in kitchen operations Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen equipment maintenance or a related field Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and appliances Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various kitchen systems Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems Familiarity with food service industry standards and regulations Valid food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) Excellent problem-solving and time management skills Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a fast-paced environment Vocational training in kitchen equipment maintenance is preferred Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Company Location: Avani Ibn Battuta Dubai Hotel
