Description Description St. Therese Catholic School in Kansas City, Missouri is seeking a part time kitchen worker for the 2026/2027 school year. Hours are M-F 10:00-1:00. Duties include food preparation, production and cleanup in a cafeteria setting according to established dietary requirements of quality, quantity, nutrition, appearance, temperature and timeliness. Responsibilities: Preparing food to be served once it is delivered to the school on a daily basis Assists cooks and other cafeteria staff in food preparation, cafeteria setup, cleaning, cashiering and dishwashing. Serving food for students and staff Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area Operating and cleaning kitchen equipment such as oven, stove, warmer and dishwasher Monitoring food delivery each day Ordering supplies and milk as needed Following food safety and sanitation procedures Assisting catering company with menu planning and management Maintaining accurate records of lunches served via the student information system Cleaning kitchen and cafe’ area after each lunch period Willing to obtain a Food Manager’s license from Clay County Health Department. Requirements Must be organized, efficient and task-oriented High School diploma or GED Able to lift and carry objects of 25 pounds Able to stand during food service Food handler certification--can be obtained after hire Must be able to wash dishes and clean the kitchen thoroughly on a daily basis Preferred applicant will feel comfortable in a school environment, have knowledge of kitchen health and safety procedures, and have good interpersonal communication skills. Responsibilities
