About the position
The Anchorage has a variety of dining and food offering across the property, including The Galley Kitchen, Moby’s Bar and Poolside Bar.

The award-winning crew is casting a line out for a casual Kitchen Hand. This opportunity is responsible and key to our back of house operations, duties will include:

  • Cleaning of all soiled crockery, cutlery and equipment
  • Cleaning of work areas
  • Assist with the set-up of service
  • Sweep and clean floors
  • Ensure appropriate disposal of waste
  • Assist with basic food preparation

As part of The Wests Group recruitment and assessment process, candidates progressing to the next stage will be required to complete relevant due diligence and compliance checks specific to the role. This includes, but is not limited to, a Criminal History Check, reference checks, and right to work verification via our company portal. All associated checks and costs will be facilitated by The Wests Group
This position will require availability to work a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts during the week. Our seasonal peaks run through summer, public holiday and school holiday periods, availability during these times is essential.

ABOUT YOU

You are someone who can work under pressure while at all times ensuring that our current high standards are met. You will have previous experience in a similar role, and basic food preparation and knife skills are desirable. Along with a good work ethic, you will be a team player who thrives in a fast-paced work environment.
