Description INTRODUCTION: This position reports to the Aftermarket Assembly Manager. It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities. KITS ASSEMBLY – Performs functions pertaining to the operations of the Kit Department and supplying shipping with Aftermarket Kits. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Responsibilities follow below: a) Inspection of product and paperwork for shipment. b) Assemble and package to specification for kit orders. c) Use of email, reading prints, updating SAP, IGEAR work instructions, and other required software. d) Communicate with other departments as needed. e) Engage in continuous improvements projects as required. f) Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position. Requirements REQUIREMENTS: a) Ability to gain knowledge of Kitting process and software required. b) 1 year of warehouse or kitting preferred c) Ability to read, write, and communicate professionally required. d) Basic computer skills desired. e) Work efficient in a high paced environment. f) Flexible work hours required. g) Basic math skills required. h) Ability to gain knowledge of company products. Comply with quality, environmental, safety and JOST company policies and procedures. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: a) Work is generally performed in a production plant 100% of time b) While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly; stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and occasionally will be required to stoop, kneel, lift, pull or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.
Responsibilities
This role is primarily accountable for fulfilling all assigned duties within the Kit Department, which involves supplying the shipping department with Aftermarket Kits. Key functions include the inspection of product and paperwork, and assembling and packaging kits according to specified orders.
