Job Title: Kitting & Assembly Manager Department: Operations – Packaging Reports To: Director of Packaging Status: Full-Time (Salary) Schedule: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Day Shift) Position Summary The Kitting & Assembly Manager oversees daily operations of the kitting and assembly departments, ensuring efficient flow of materials, information, and production output. This role manages a team, and collaborates across departments to achieve production goals, resolve issues, and maintain product quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage daily kitting and assembly operations. Uphold staff accountability, conduct weekly 1:1s, and evaluate performance. Oversee labor management, scheduling, and department training/certifications. Execute production and kitting schedules to meet KPI and timeline targets. Perform quality inspections, audits, and root cause analyses. Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment. Drive continuous improvement and enforce company culture and safety policies. Collaborate with Production, Logistics, Planning, Marketing, HR, and Warehouse teams to ensure operational efficiency and communication flow. Job Requirements 2–5 years of experience in kitting, assembly, or production management. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel emphasis) and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred). Experience developing SOPs, KPIs, and managing cross-functional operations. Lean Manufacturing experience a plus. Strong problem-solving, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Detail-oriented, proactive, and task-driven. Ability to work overtime/weekends and support other departments as needed. Physical Demands & Work Environment Lift up to 50 lbs; prolonged standing, bending, and walking. Exposure to warehouse conditions (noise, dust, temperature variations). 40–60 hours per week during peak seasons.
