  • This position requires occasional travel between sites.
  • This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment. This individual may be working with potential biohazards related to bloodborne pathogens exposure and may be exposed to human diseases.
  • Must be able to perform extensive standing, driving, walking, and climbing; to lift up to 50lbs. regularly; to manipulate up to 100lbs. with assistance, to transport and stock assigned supplies and materials; to pick-up from vendors and deliver stock and materials to customers upon request, to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to bend, stoop, and climb to reach materials (must be able to climb a step ladder at approximately three feet in height and to work from a lift up to twenty feet in height).
  • Must be able to talk or hear, both in person and by telephone or video-conference; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • This is an essential position supporting clinical laboratory operations requiring attendance on weekends, holidays, and during emergency conditions, such as inclement weather and power failure.
  • This position requires the ability to identify and resolve assembly and quality issues.
  • This position is a full-time, in-person position in Boulder, CO.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Kitting & Logistics Manager is responsible for management and execution of long-term and short-term planning and operational activities for in-house diagnostic kit assembly and kit inventory management, ordering, and tracking, reliably ensuring diagnostic kits and raw materials are available for production according to client demand, operational requirements, and inventory goals. Reporting to the Director, Supply Chain, other responsibilities will include development and implementation of cost improvement projects and lean initiatives, general receiving, shipping, and site inventory management.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Precise diagnostic kit assembly according to instruction, specifications, and requirements.
  • Prepare and ship finished diagnostic kits based on inventory levels and scheduled tickets accurately and timely.
  • Manage effective diagnostic kit component inventory (3PL) and finished diagnostic kit inventory at all sites.
  • Establish and communicate priorities for flow and movement of diagnostic kit component inventory and finished diagnostic kit inventory between all sites.
  • Establish processing priorities based on deliveries and supply chain requests, planning the most economical and optimal schedule considering client requirements, quality standards, and current availability of equipment, materials, and labor.
  • Accurately receive and store goods and materials, ensuring effective inventory management at all sites.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, tracking materials, and ensuring adequate supplies.
  • Inspect assembled diagnostic kits, products, and components for quality, and identifying and reporting discrepancies.
  • Assists in discrepancy resolution and corrective action implementation.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitting area and warehouse.
  • Maintains physical condition of the warehouse by inspecting equipment.
  • Coordinates with internal customers by providing timely and accurate processing and shipping status information as required.
  • Effectively apply and ensure compliance with Foresight’s inventory control and warehouse management systems.
  • Assist in lean projects, kaizen, and other continuous improvement activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
