Description Job Title: Kitting and Sequencing Picker Department: Production Control - KnS Reports To: Shift Supervisor Direct Reports: None Status: Hourly Non-exempt - Indirect Labor Vacancy: Night shift hours 6:30pm -3:15am with TMMTX mandatory OT (weekends are possible) Job Summary: The goal of this position is cleanliness, safety, and accuracy of the shipping center. This includes all aspects of understanding parts inventory, communication for support, manual picking, adhering to all shipment SWI’s. Understanding customer expectations and escalating to Supervisors and leads when needed. Main Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): · Understand all loading and picking requirements for Kitting and Sequencing shipments to TMMTX. · Maintain a clean and safe working environment. · Holding themselves accountable for following all safety and other policies and procedures, as well as behavior and performance that do not meet company expectations. · Report out any imminent late or short shipments to your lead or supervisor and assist with retrieving parts in situations that we are short parts. · Picking process with manifest, sequences using wrist RF scanners. Picking and loading is all cycle time based. · Use a continuous improvement approach to increasing efficiency and increasing safety. · Reduce potential property damage. · Uphold standardized work as the key tool for success in your area. · Willing to learn how to operate a forklift. · Other duties may be assigned. Requirements Education: · High school diploma or GED Experience: · Minimum of 6 months in order selecting or warehouse experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: · None Computer Skills: · Use of a wrist scanner and also basic computer skills to print out manifest and scan in manifest. Mathematical Abilities: · Basic math skills. Analytical or Reasoning Abilities: · Minimal analytical, planning skills and critical thinking ability required with orientation for continuous improvement. Communication Skills: (Writing, Foreign Language, Reasoning) · Ability to read, write and speak English. Other Skills (Technical, or Other special knowledge and abilities) · Teamwork is critical for this position · Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work. · Strong attention to detail and ability to effectively manage a variety of projects and tasks. · Takes initiative, approaches others in a positive and constructive manner, and works well independently to achieve results. Physical Requirements• · 100% of the time will be spent on the production plant floors walking, standing and engaged in the activities associated with the role. · Be comfortable with pushing and moving racks for 10-12hrs daily. · Must be able to team lift a minimum of 50 pounds, 25 pounds alone.
