Description JOB SUMMARY The Liberty County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants for the part-time position of Program Assistant for Keep Liberty Beautiful (KLB). This position recruits and retains volunteers and maintains social media platforms to promote community involvement in KLB programs. This is a part-time position working 5 hours a day, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend duties. MAJOR DUTIES Actively recruits volunteers for Keep Liberty Beautiful. Coordinates and schedules volunteer activities. Maintains communications with all current and future volunteers. Works and supervises volunteer events. May work evening and weekend hours. Prepares and maintains office reports and documentation. Actively manages all social media platforms for department. Manages the Adopt Liberty Program. Provides basic vehicle maintenance and care. Prepares supplies for program events. Performs other duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION Knowledge of computers and job-related software and equipment. Knowledge of business etiquette in email. Knowledge of photography and photo editing. Skill in oral and written communication. Skill in social media account management. Skill in establishing priorities, follow directions, and meeting deadlines. Skill in working independently and in a group setting. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT The work is typically performed at a desk while intermittently sitting, standing, walking, crouching, bending or stooping. The employee frequently lifts light objects and occasionally lifts heavy objects, uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity, distinguishes between shades of color, and utilizes sense of smell. The work is typically performed in an office, in a stockroom, a noisy place, or outdoors, occasionally in cold or inclement weather. The employee is exposed to dust, dirt, grease. Work requires use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, and gloves. Requirements MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required. At least six (6) months experience in social media management and/or marketing. Possession of a valid Georgia Class C driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
