Overview:
Knowledge Manager
Astrion is the subcontractor on the MSEIT contract. The MSEIT contract provides Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) support for the Military Communications & Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Directorate of the Space Systems Command in El Segundo.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Knowledge Manager to support enterprise-wide information sharing, collaboration, and decision-making across DoD mission areas. This role is critical to ensuring that institutional knowledge is captured, organized, and made accessible to stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing knowledge management strategies, tools, and processes in a secure, mission-driven environment. This position requires strong communication skills, technical insight, and a deep understanding of DoD operations and data governance.
The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force’s Space Systems Center (SSC). We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art satellite communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain document repositories, portals, and collaborative platforms
  • Structure/categorize data for intuitive access and retrieval across clearance levels
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies and metadata standards
  • Facilitate information sharing across directorates, ensuring alignment with DoD frameworks
  • Support content document lifecycle management, including archiving and retrieval
  • Conduct training and outreach to promote best practices across teams
  • Collaborate with Information Technology (IT) and Security to ensure secure and efficient systems
