Description
Overview A returning BAHS client and her growing family are looking for a daily part-time executive housekeeper to join their team. The role is Monday through Friday, for 4 hours per day. The hours would preferably be in the morning while the child is at school. The family has a full-time nanny who handles all childcare responsibilities, including the daughter's bedroom, playroom, and child-related purchasing. When applying, please indicate your availability by hour. This is an amazing family and team! Responsibilities Core responsibilities include: Daily tidy and reset of the primary bedroom and bath, home office, and kitchen/dining plus other rooms as needed (though they are typically lightly used) Full weekly clean of the remaining apartment (guest bedrooms, bathrooms, common areas) Laundry including light ironing and handling of delicates Light food prep several days per week (mise en place style; I cook, she preps) Weekly grocery shopping (store is nearby; supplemented by on-line orders) Proactive household organization projects (closets, pantry, storage) Household supply inventory and restocking Package management Qualifications Self-directed, proactive, and able to maintain high standards without daily supervision. The right candidate sees what needs to be done and does it, whether that's the daily tidy or a closet reorganization they noticed was overdue. Genuinely proactive- not a task-follower but an independent standard-setter (e.g., sees a closet start to slip into disorder and proactively fixes it) Discreet, reliable, and comfortable working independently At ease in a kitchen for prep work (not cooking) Requirements Minimum 5 years in a comparable private Manhattan household On-the-books employment; must have valid US work authorization Strong verifiable references from prior principals Salary and Benefits $40-$55 per hour Open to discussing benefits for the right candidate
