Job Description Lead the strategy, governance, and execution of Global and Regional Medical Information (MI) activities across Asia, ensuring scientific excellence and compliance with Industry Stds. Oversee the development, review, and lifecycle management of high-quality MI content (standard responses, FAQs, scientific letters, digital knowledgebases) covering Santen’s portfolio and oversee call-center launch and operations. Ensure MI operations comply with global SOPs, pharmacovigilance requirements, and local regulatory standards across Asian markets. Act as the medical escalation point for medical inquiries. Collaborate closely with Global Medical Affairs, R&D, Pharmacovigilance, Regulatory Affairs, and Commercial teams to ensure consistent, compliant scientific communication. Drive innovation by integrating AI-enabled Medical Information solutions (e.g., intelligent search, response automation, insights analytics) to improve response quality, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. Lead, coach, and develop regional MI teams and external partners, fostering a culture of medical excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Advanced degree in Life Sciences (PharmD, PhD, MD) with strong clinical and scientific expertise; ophthalmology experience strongly preferred. Min 7+ years of experience in Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Medical Communications or Medical Information within a pharmaceutical or biotech company, with regional or global responsibilities. Expertise in medical writing/review/editing Knowledge of Medical Information systems, content governance, and regulatory frameworks across multiple Asian markets. Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional stakeholders, regional teams, and external vendors in a matrix organization. Solid understanding of pharmacovigilance, medical compliance, and industry standards. Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and stakeholder-influencing skills; fluency in English required. “can-do” attitude/solution finding.
