ROLE PROFILE KREASI Visual Communication  ROLE PURPOSE   The KREASI Visual Communication leads the development and quality assurance of visual communication products that support KREASI’s communication strategy and programme objectives. Based at the national level, the role ensures that KREASI’s visual materials effectively communicate programme approaches, results, and learning in ways that are clear, engaging, and accessible to diverse audiences.  The Officer is responsible for designing and maintaining a consistent visual identity across KREASI communication products, including IEC materials, campaign assets, infographics, publications, and event materials. Through strong visual storytelling and design, the role supports the translation of complex programme information into accessible formats that can be understood by government stakeholders, educators, communities, partners, and the broader public.  Working closely with the Communication & Media Manager, the Visual Communication contributes to the production of high-quality communication materials such as videos, photo stories, articles, campaigns, and programme publications. The role also supports the design and layout of learning materials and knowledge products that document KREASI’s approaches, lessons learned, and innovations.  The Visual Communication plays a key role in strengthening the visibility, credibility, and accessibility of KREASI’s communication by ensuring that visual content reflects the programme’s values of inclusion, child protection, gender equality, and respect for communities.  KEY AREA OF ACCOUNTABILITY    Visual Design and Creative Production  * Support the design and production of visual communication materials that support KREASI communication activities and campaigns.  * Develop design layouts for communication products such as IEC materials, publications, reports, newsletters, module, infographics, and presentation materials.  * Produce visual assets for communication platforms, including website content, social media materials, event visuals, and campaign graphics.  * Translate complex information, programme data, and learning into visually engaging formats that are accessible to diverse audiences.  Visual Identity and Brand Consistency  * Maintain and apply KREASI’s visual identity across all communication materials and platforms.  * Ensure consistency in layout, typography, color use, and design standards across communication products.  * Support the development and maintenance of design templates for recurring communication products.  * Provide guidance to communication and programme teams on the appropriate use of visual materials and design standards.  IEC Materials and Knowledge Products  * Support the design and layout of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials used by KREASI and its partners.  * Support the development of visually engaging knowledge products, learning briefs, and communication publications.  * Ensure IEC materials are clear, inclusive, and accessible for diverse audiences including teachers, school Supporters, parents, and communities.  Visual Storytelling and Multimedia Support  * Support the production of visual storytelling materials including photo stories, short videos, and campaign visuals.  * Collaborate with the communication team to develop visual concepts that strengthen programme storytelling.  * Provide design support for communication campaigns and outreach initiatives.  * Assist with simple video editing and visual adaptation of multimedia content where required.  Event and Campaign Communication Support  * Develop visual materials for programme events such as banners, presentation templates, signage, and event documentation materials.  * Support communication campaigns through development of visual assets and promotional materials.  * Ensure visual materials used in events and campaigns reflect KREASI’s messaging and communication standards.  Coordination and Collaboration  * Work closely with the Communication & Media Specialist to align visuals with written content in communication products.  * Collaborate with the Public Outreach to develop visual materials for outreach activities and campaigns.  * Coordinate with programme teams to design visual materials that support programme implementation and knowledge sharing.  * Support communication teams in adapting visual materials for different platforms and audiences.  * Disseminate communication materials to all KREASI team, including implementing partners’ Communication Officer.  Monitoring, Learning, and Continuous Improvement  *  Maintain an organized archive of design files, templates, and visual materials.  * Identify opportunities to improve visual communication approaches and enhance accessibility of communication products.  * Contribute to continuous learning within the communication team by sharing best practices in visual communication and design.  Compliance, Safeguarding, and Ethical Communication  * Ensure visual communication materials comply with KREASI safeguarding standards and ethical communication practices.  * Promote respectful and responsible representation of children, educators, and communities in visual materials.  * Ensure visual materials reflect diversity, inclusion, and gender equality.  General  * Carry out other tasks assigned by the Communication & Media Manager.  * Support communication activities during major programme events, campaigns, and strategic communication moments.  * Ensure adherence to KREASI policies and standards on safeguarding, inclusion, ethical communication, and responsible representation. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES  * Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, multimedia design, communication, or a related field with at least 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in visual communication or graphic design.   * Demonstrated experience designing communication materials such as IEC materials, publications, infographics, reports, and campaign materials.   * Strong skills in graphic design and visual storytelling.   * Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, or similar tools.   * Experience supporting visual communication for development programmes, NGOs, or education initiatives is an advantage.   * Basic skills in photo editing and simple video editing are an advantage.   * Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain visual consistency across communication materials.   * Ability to translate complex information into clear and engaging visual formats.   * Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.   * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and presentation design tools.   * Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple design tasks and deadlines.
