Location: Broke Fordwich, Hunter Valley, NSW
Start Date: Immediate

ABOUT US

Krinklewood Estate is a 150-acre certified organic and biodynamic vineyard nestled in the Hunter Valley, with a stunning backdrop of the Wollombi Brook. Home to boutique parcels of Semillon, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Gewürztraminer, our property also includes a working winery, cellar door, tourist accommodation and hosts over 40 weddings and events annually.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking an experienced Vineyard & Farm Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of our organic & biodynamic vineyard and broader estate. This is a hands-on, autonomous role suited to someone who thrives in a self-managed environment and takes pride in maintaining the visual and agricultural excellence of a premium destination.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage all aspects of our organic and biodynamic vineyard, including spraying, pruning, canopy management, harvest and vine irrigation during the season;
  • Operate and maintain all farm machinery and equipment (tractors, sprayers, slasher, bobcat, etc.);
  • Undervine management using a Tornado grass system - General undervine management, particularly using equipment such as the Fisher Expandable Deck Mower with Tornado Trimmer-Line Weeder and other tools. (While experience with this specific machinery is beneficial, we understand that candidates may require training to operate the Tornado Trimmer-Line Weeder, so general undervine management skills are also highly valued).
  • General property maintenance, fencing, irrigation, and pasture management
  • Care for livestock, including cows and sheep.
  • Maintain the overall aesthetic of the estate, including gardens and paddocks, to a high standard
  • Work closely with the winemaker, the events team and the owners on seasonal priorities
  • Ensure WHS compliance and uphold organic/biodynamic principles
  • Ensure meticulous record-keeping and tidy documentation to support compliance and ease of the annual Australian Certified Organic audit process.
