Opogo Education is currently recruiting a Key Stage 1 Primary Teacher to join a primary school that blends rich tradition with a forward-thinking, innovative approach. The school offers exceptional outdoor spaces, an on-site nursery, and a nurturing environment that supports learning through exploration and play. This is a long term supply role with the opportunity to go perm.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). This is essential for teaching
  • Relevant Degree related to education
  • Previous and/or current experience working as a Primary Teacher or Early Years settings
  • Strong knowledge and experience of the EYFS curriculum and child development
  • Must have a valid Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and on the Update Service
    The pay range advertised is based on employment through an umbrella company.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn
  • Assess and monitor pupils’ progress through a variety of formative and summative methods, keeping accurate records to inform planning and reporting
  • Foster positive behaviour, independence, and social development through consistent routines and clear expectations
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers, providing regular communication and addressing any concerns around pupils’ learning or well-being
  • Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and other staff to support individual needs and ensure the success of all pupils
  • Uphold safeguarding procedures and ensure the safety and welfare of all children in your care
  • Maintain a well-organised and stimulating classroom environment, with displays and resources that support learning and celebrate children’s achievements
