Description

SEPTEMBER 2025 START

Not every student fits the traditional system. Not every teacher wants to work within it.
This is a unique opportunity to join a newly opened specialist setting in Richmond Upon Thames. The school supports neurodivergent young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, ADHD, and backgrounds of trauma or exclusion.
I am looking for a Nurture Teacher / SEN Teacher to lead a KS3 group who are learning at a KS2 level. Your approach will need to be thoughtful, relational, and responsive. Your lessons will focus on emotional safety and trust first. You will join a supportive team with a clear curriculum model, a strong therapeutic ethos, and a deep commitment to restorative and inclusive practices.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) or an unqualified teacher with substantial experience teaching young people with SEMH
  • Someone with genuine emotional resilience and strong classroom leadership
  • A reflective practitioner who stays calm under pressure and is comfortable with low-demand, attachment-aware strategies
  • A professional ready to grow with the school and be part of something from its foundations
