Job Description

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• 3+ years kdb+ development experience
• Proven experience with KX Insights and kdb+.
• Strong knowledge of q programming language.
• Experience with real-time data processing and time-series analytics.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong SQL and NoSQL database knowledge.
• Experience with data ingestion tools (Kafka, Spark, Flink, etc.).
• Understanding of machine learning and AI integration (preferred but not required).
• Minimum 2:1 degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or any other scientific/engineering discipline

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS DESIRED*:

• Contributes to company ecosystem
• Experience of other programming languages e.g. Python
• Cloud development experience
• Experience of other data solutions, specifically Time Series Experience in an investment bank or large financial organisation

  Additional Information

• Develop, deploy, and optimize applications on KX Insights and kdb+.

• Design and implement real-time data processing pipelines for high-velocity streaming data.

• Integrate KX Insights with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and third-party systems.
• Optimize queries and scripts for performance and scalability.
• Work with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to create actionable insights.
• Ensure best practices in data security, governance, and compliance.
