JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma / Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a data centre, NOC, or infrastructure support role.
  • Working knowledge of server and network hardware , structured cabling standards, and basic configuration interfaces.
  • Familiarity with data centre operations tools (e.g., environmental monitoring, access control systems).
  • Experience using ticketing and workflow systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail , task ownership, and willingness to follow SOPs.
  • Comfortable working in a shift-based or on-call environment as required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform hands-on support for hardware installation, decommissioning, and replacement of servers, network, and storage equipment.
  • Conduct physical cabling (copper and fiber), power connections, and hardware racking/stacking based on deployment plans.
  • Support advanced remote hands tasks such as device reboots, BIOS configuration, media swaps, and console access under L2 guidance.
  • Monitor and respond to alerts or incidents from infrastructure monitoring tools , escalating to L2/L3 teams when necessary.
  • Execute and log routine operational checks , inspections, and data centre walkthroughs to ensure compliance and uptime.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of rack layouts, asset inventory , cabling maps, and patch records.
  • Assist in troubleshooting issues at the physical layer and provide root cause details for escalated cases.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for deliveries, installations, and scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to strict data centre security, safety, and access control protocols .
  • Support change control and incident management processes through timely updates in ticketing systems
